Oris has a long and proud history of both sponsoring and being inspired by Formula One. For the 2010 season Oris is again the Official Watch Partner of the AT&T Williams Formula One team, our seventh season with the team. This season sees the Oris logo on the front wing end plates of the cars, on the drivers’ gloves and overalls, on the pit wall canopy, and on the left sleeve of all the team uniforms. Rookie driver Nico Hülkenberg is an enthusiastic ambassador for the brand.
Previous drivers include Nico Rosberg, who first became an Oris ambassador, in 2006 – even meriting his own limited edition watch. He was partnered during the 2008 and 2009 seasons by Kazuki Nakajima who also inspired his own limited edition Oris. They were preceded by Mark Webber in 2005 and Ralf Schumacher in 2004. The successful partnership with Williams first began in 2003. A year before this Oris sponsored Toyota driver Allan McNish.
But Oris’ passion for Motor Sport started way back in the 1970s with the now famous Chronoris, which first captured the true spirit of Formula One.
